Who is Senora H?

I was born and raised in Austin, Texas.  I graduated from Dripping Springs High School in 2003 and then attended the University of Texas at Austin, where I graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Spanish.  Five days after I graduated, I moved to Guadalajara,  Mexico, where I taught ESL and tutored Spanish for 3 years. I moved back to the United States in 2010 and worked for an immigration attorney for 3.5 years before getting my teaching certification.

After teaching at Spanish at Dripping Springs Middle School for three years, I am very excited to begin a new adventure at Small Middle School.  Through education, I hope to positively impact the community by providing children with a solid foundation of Spanish that will inspire them to continue developing their bilingual skills in the future and will help them connect to the world around them.

When I'm not at school, I am most likely hanging out with my family, my friends, or my cat, Apollo.  My interests include cooking, riding my horse Taylor, reading, and watching movies.
